Arguably the greatest of American films, Orson Welles's 1941 masterpiece, made when he was only 26, still unfurls like a dream and carries the viewer along the mysterious currents of time and memory to reach a mature (if ambiguous) conclusion: people are the sum of their contradictions, and can't be known easily. Welles plays newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane, taken from his mother as a boy and made the ward of a rich industrialist. The result is that every well-meaning or tyrannical or self-destructive move he makes for the rest of his life appears in some way to be a reaction to that deeply wounding event. Written by Welles and Herman J. Mankiewicz, and photographed by Gregg Toland, the film is the sum of Welles's awesome ambitions as an artist in Hollywood. He pushes the limits of then-available technology to create a true magic show, a visual and aural feast that almost seems to be rising up from a viewer's subconsciousness. As Kane, Welles even ushers in the influence of Bertolt Brecht on film acting. This is truly a one-of-a-kind work, and in many ways is still the most modern of modern films from the 20th century. --Tom Keogh

Cosmo Warrior Zero - Sea of Stars- To begin, this movie has a great beginning; it pulled me right into it.This is something not usually seen in movies of this type, so it makes it an unusual, yet pleasant experience.The action scenes are really great. Toshiyuki Morikawa played his role great. Aya Hisakawa actually caught my interest.

I think Toshiyuki Morikawa and Aya Hisakawa worked wonderful in Cosmo Warrior Zero - Sea of Stars. The great supporting cast includes Toshiyuki Morikawa, Aya Hisakawa, Eiji Takemoto, Toshiaki Matsumoto, Soichiro Hoshi.

All in all, I would rate this movie an 8.5/10. I would definitely watch this movie again.

Summary of Cosmo Warrior Zero - Sea of Stars:
As the story progresses, its focus shifts to a samurai-style code of honor and antirobot prejudice. On the planet Heavy Melder, Warrius Zero confronts three of Leiji Matsumoto's most famous characters: Toshiro, Emeraldas, and the dashing space pirate Captain Harlock. Although Zero is on a mission to capture or kill Harlock, honor precludes their attacking each other: the respectful enemies share drinks in the town of Gun Frontier--where liberty and alcohol are respected. Zero discovers that Marina, the first officer of his ship, the Karyu, is a mechanized woman when Hel-Matear sabotages the ship, destroying its computer system and exposing Marina's secret. Hel-Matear then lures Marina and Zero to Miraiseria, Marina's home world. Cosmo Warrior Zero hardly ranks as Matsumoto's best work, but his many fans will want to follow the further adventures of their favorite characters.
